Sociology/criminal justice students study criminal law, prisons, court processes and procedures, the Constitution and police procedures. This is a good major for students interested in forensic science, detective work, or law school.

Averett also offers a degree in aerospace management/criminal justice to prepare students for law enforcement careers with the FAA and other aviation-related criminal justice positions.
Graduates of Averett's Criminal Justice Program find success in many areas of law enforcement including careers as:
