Aid "Disbursement" to your Student Account

Financial aid processed by Averett's Financial Aid Office will automatically be disbursed to your student account, provided that your application is complete and you have met the requirements for each aid type.

Outside Scholarship checks received by the University will be directly applied to your student account (unless otherwise specified by the scholarship donor).

If you are offered student loans, Averett will notify you if a student loan promissory note is required. The first time you borrow a Federal Stafford Loan at Averett, you must complete an entrance interview on line.

When the academic year begins, your anticipated aid will be processed and disbursed to your student account, provided you are registered for the appropriate number of credit hours and have met individual program requirements. Financial Aid will be used to pay charges for tuition. If disbursement of aid is more than enough to pay your student account charges for the loan disbursement period, Accounting will determine any excess funds and they will be sent to you by the Accounting Department. If you have questions regarding your account balance or excess funds, please contact your accounting representative at 1-800-948-2810.

You can print receipts or check the status of your student account online at www.mystudentaccount.org/averett. If you have any questions about your student account or if you experience any difficulty in accessing your student account, please contact your Accounting Representative at 1-800-948-2810.
