Friends of the Library Library Friends are wonderful people who
make annual contributions to the Mary B. Blount Library, enabling us to develop
collections and enhance public areas of the building. With an annual donation of $30 or more, local Friends have borrowing
privileges for books in the circulating collection and use of designated
computers in the Reference area. Couples may join for a discounted membership of $50. Library Friends
receive quarterly issues of the Averett Library News. All donations
are fully tax deductible.
Consider honoring a pastor, colleague or relative with a Library Friends gift membership. Join

Mission: The library supports the
curriculum, research, and reading interests of Averett University students, faculty,
and staff with scholarly and professional sources, access technologies,
reference consultations and instruction by library faculty. While serving Averett
students and faculty as our primary clientele, the library reaches out to the
local community, providing educational and cultural resources to alumni,
educators, clergy, and the general public.
