Welcome, Averett students! The Library Tutorial will introduce you to the Mary B. Blount Library and help you locate books, articles, facts, and statistics. You can return at anytime to refresh your skills. |
|
Just as you chose to attend an accredited university rather than educate yourself on the Internet, the library sources you will read and cite for Averett classes are written and reviewed by qualified scholars and teachers.
Faculty select the books acquired by the library to support Averett's liberal arts and professional curricula. You will find books from libraries worldwide through WorldCat and interlibrary loan. The library's online databases include 26,000 scholarly and professional journals, supplemented by online research reports and guides. Local print and electronic book collections are over 150,000. WorldCat cites millions of books and media held by thousands of libraries -- also credible internet sources!
