New Averett Website to Launch July 1

Based on insight gained through recent extensive marketing research, Averett is launching a new website on July 1 that will be more user-friendly, visually appealing and in line with our new marketing and branding efforts.

Some of the new features of the site include more photographs of our students and the Averett campus, pages that are easier to navigate for prospective students, an expanded online presence for the new Student Success Center and a revamped admissions site.

Additional changes and improvements planned to roll out through the rest of the year include a virtual campus tour, increased video offerings of student activities and more social media interaction features.

The new web launch will be a work in progress, and will rely in part on the input of departments across the university. As part of our launch preparation, the marketing and communications team will be contacting members of each department represented on the web, and asking for their assistance in reviewing their department's content online. Additionally, we will be re-establishing the web committee, as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that the Averett website remains fresh and functional, while meeting the needs of its diverse users both off- and on-campus.
