New Student Orientation: Parent Schedule Friday, August 22nd 9:30 am – 1:00 pm: Multipurpose Room (Student Center) New Student Check-In (Residential and Commuters) Keys, NSO information and more! Your first stop on campus will only take a few minutes and then you will be on your way and ready to move in. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Multipurpose Room (Student Center) New Student Check-In (Late paid students) Those students that have enrolled for the fall semester after August 1st have probably not had the time to complete everything needed to start the semester. In order to take care of all of this business, we ask that you check-in between 1:00-4:00pm. You will receive your keys and NSO information, but you will also have an opportunity to take care of business with various offices while here. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Multipurpose Room (Student Center) Student Services Fair This is your chance to take care of business. You can get your student ID, meet with Financial Aid, and get information from a variety of campus resources. Swing through sometime during the morning while you have a break. 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Student Center Lawn New Student Picnic After a long day of moving in…its time to relax! Enjoy your first meal on campus with your family and new friends at AU. 6:30 pm – 6:45 pm: Pritchett Auditorium (Pritchett Hall) Welcome/Opening Session Welcome to AU! The coming days will be exciting, exhausting, and informative. Several of our administrators and faculty want to welcome you to your first year as we start the Orientation weekend. 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Pritchett Auditorium (Pritchett Hall) Parent Information Session We know that its not just students that have questions about what the first year will hold. Several staff members from various offices, students, and faculty will join us to help answer your questions and provide some information for parents as you say good-by to your students and prepare to head home. 8:00 pm – Time to Say Good-Bye By now you and your parents should be reassured that you are ready for the coming semester and will be ok on your own. Take a few minutes to say good-by to the family and then get right back into the swing of things.
